The MagnaFlow xMOD Series Cat-Back Performance Exhaust System with polished finish #19578 for the 2020-2021 Chevrolet Corvette C8 features all the modularity that MagnaFlow’s xMOD series is known for in a compact package engineered for extremely high performance and superior durability. Days of dyno and track testing were undertaken to ensure that this exhaust kit exceeds the performance of the stock system while enhancing the exhaust sound with MagnaFlow’s deep signature tone. In fact, MagnaFlow #19578 will boost the max power performance of your C8 by up to 18 hp and 17 lb. ft. of torque, as well as peak power gains of up to 12 hp and 13 lb. ft. of torque respectively.*
As an xMOD system, the sound can be configured to your liking. This is thanks to the easily swappable modules that give xMOD its name. In the case of this xMOD exhaust kit, owners can easily switch between MagnaFlow’s xTreme Delete straight pipe modules or the C8-specific muffler modules. Both modules feature NDT (No Drone Technology), which is how MagnaFlow cancels the natural droning frequencies of a vehicle to prevent tiresome droning noises at cruising speeds. One of the coolest features of the C8 is the optional performance exhaust, which features bi-modal exhaust valves to open or close a bypass valve leading directly to the tips in order to crank up the exhaust volume on a whim. At MagnaFlow we worked hard to make sure that this feature would carry over to our xMOD system for the C8 Corvette and retain its full functionality. A valve delete option is also included for owners who didn’t opt for the bi-modal exhaust package.
This Corvette performance exhaust kit features 3” mandrel bent tubing, premium V-band clamps, a Tru-X crossover pipe section, bi-modal exhaust valves, swappable xMOD modules and a quad-split rear exit with 4.5” polished stainless-steel tips. The entire system was created using CNC precision robotic manufacturing techniques and is covered by a limited lifetime construction warranty. Being a mid-engine design, the new Corvette’s tightly packaged engine compartment only gets access to air already warmed from cooling other vehicle components such as the brakes. Extensive testing of the exhaust system and 3D scans of the entire vehicle led to improvements in the design of the heat shielding, including using custom CNC-produced aluminum shielding to draw heat away more quickly, as well as three custom-made heat shield wraps for the hottest sections of the system. The exhaust kit features a multi-metal design incorporating several grades of stainless steel, with grade 304 used most prominently. This is because 304 stainless steel blues nicely when exposed to heat, which is desirable in an exhaust system that is as visible as the one on your C8 Corvette. Exhaust kit #19578 features a direct-fit design and is engineered to bolt on easily for hassle-free installation.
*Reported wheel power figures measured on MagnaFlow’s in-house dynamometer with a US Spec 2020 Chevrolet C8 with the GM Performance Exhaust, using SAE correction and smoothing and an average of multiple runs. Results may vary depending upon environmental conditions, vehicle trim level, and vehicle health, operating conditions, temperatures, fuel grade, dyno type, dyno setup, other variables and other modifications.

2021 C8 Exhaust Choices
Chevy updated the ECU for the 2021 Corvette C8. Making virtually ALL aftermarket exhaust systems trigger a CEL. Other manufactures utilize simulator plates for the forward AFM valves , leaving the rear NPP valves unplugged/stowed. This scenario worked on the 2020 C8, but triggers a CEL on the 2021 C8.................. The MagnaFlow system includes FOUR functioning exhaust valves, just like the OEM system from Chevy..................... I installed the MagnaFlow system myself and never got a CEL. Plus, other exhaust manufactures state that a Valve relearn procedure is required by a Chevy dealer. I did not need to do this, everything worked, right out of the box................. I appreciate the option MagnaFlow includes with the system for the C8. Either straight pipes (max sound all the time), or use the mufflers. With the ability to swap between the two choices in an hour. No need to jack the car, just remove the rear belly panel to access the clamps............. Looks and sounds great. Quality construction with attention to details (heat blankets)................ Not as inexpensive as some bargain systems, because it includes four functioning valves and both sound option pipes.

2021 C8 Exhaust Choices
Other exhaust manufacturers utilize simulator plates for the forward AFM valves & leave the rear NPP valves unplugged & stowed. This scenario "worked" on the 2020 C8, but not the 2021. You'll get a CEL. I installed the MagnaFlow system myself & never got a CEL. Some manufactures caution you that a "Valve relearn procedure" would be required by a Chevy dealer. I didn't have to do this either, work right out of the box. I appreciate the option MagnaFlow includes with every system. Either straight pipes (max sound all the time), or mufflers. I am able to swap between the two in an hour. Remove the rear belly panel to access the clamps. Looks & sounds great, quality construction with attention to details (heat blankets). Not cheap, compared to the competition, but they don't include four functioning valves & both sound options pipes.
