    This system was easy to install, looks great and has a very nice sound to it. No resonance at highway speed, not irritating at any cruising RPM. I would best describe this as a "grown up sound" meaning it sounds good but won't wake up your neighbors or break by laws

    Close Fit - Great Tone

    2009 Ford F150 FX4 5.4 Supercrew Shortbed - The price on sale was unbelievable, almost matched what I had paid several years ago for a Ford Expedition. The tailpipe section didn't have quite enough hanger length to satisfactorily seat in the rubber grommet, just barely. The adjustment of the tailpipe allowed only limited clearance between the rear panel and 4" tip, its a close fit. Tone-wise, I'm getting accustomed to the loudness, its louder than the system I installed on my Expedition. Tone is great though. Wife likes it, too. Very satisfied with the company and would purchase from them again.

    I wanted to add some sound to my 2008 F-150, 4.6 without being obnoxious. I really wanted Single in/Single out exiting in the same place as the stock exhaust. Spent a great deal of time doing my research checking out MBRP, Flowmaster, Banks, Borla, etc and everything kept pointing back to this Magnaflow exhaust. I ordered the exhaust late on a Sunday night and it took about a week to receive it. Shipping was free so I won't complain about that at all. On to the installation... I sprayed lubricant on all of the exhaust hangers and the exhaust clamp. I used an impact to remove the bolt from the clamp and hit the bolt a few time to knock it loose. Next I unbolted all of the exhaust hangers from the truck to make removing them easier. I'd say the worst part of the whole installation was separating the old exhaust. I pulled and pried with no luck. Ended up heating it for a couple minutes with a propane torch and smacked the muffler with a deadblow hammer to finally get it moving good. After that, it was smooth sailing. After I pulled the slip joint apart, I slid the exhaust forward to get it over the rear end and it was out of the way. Next I slid under all of the parts I needed with the clamps, lubed the rubber hangers, mounted them up and loosely fit it all together. Adjusted everything, tightened it up. Pulled the truck out of the garage and took it for a ride!! It sounded great and exactly what I wanted. It has a nice low growl at idle and growls nicely when you get on it. You barely hear it from 1000-1900 rpms and then it has a hint of drone right at 2k RPM's. I think the drone might only be my OCD because I'm listening for it, but it sounds really good to me and I'm happy with the purchase. On the interstate cruising at 2k rpm's you hear the exhaust if your radio is off, but if you are listening to music at any kind of volume you don't notice it so it isn't annoying.
