Hobbyist Review
I order this for my 2006 e90 325i. I am not a professional, but I am highly mechanical. My wife and I installed this system while on jack stands in the garage. The instruction are as complete as they really need to be. The hardest part was cutting the factory pipe behind the CATS. We were able to rig something together to get the muffler to mount because the rods that run through the bushings were about 4 inches off height-wise. This will have to be taken care of by a muffler shop, but should be very cheap compared to a full installation. 30 mins and two welds should be about $45 max. Overall sound: big thumbs up. It doesn't sound a ton different than just a muffler delete, but it's enough of a difference to justify the cost. It pairs well with the BMS power box and AFE intake. Overall performance: placebo effect I'm guessing. No difference in the low RPM range at all. If anything it's above 3500 when it starts to feel different (good). If you have thousands of dollars to put into these things steer clear of the magnaflow, but if you want good sound and a ridiculously good price, get it. I'm very happy overall. I'll be putting sound clips on e90post after I finish some maintenance work.
