I looked for a year trying to make up my mind. Watched countless videos over and over. None did it justice. It sounds BIG at idle without being loud. Low and deep and muscular. Great deep tone. Cruising it is just noticeable over stock. Stock is silent almost. This is noticeable without being intrusive. With the top up or down it is fantastic. The stock exhaust only sounded good at 3/4 or more throttle. This sounds good giving it any throttle over cruise and beautiful at full throttle. I did not get the X pipe because I was advised to wait a month or so to see if I thought it needed it to smooth out the sound. So far I don't. I do have a resonance at about 1500 RPM's going between 1st and 2nd under load. Just cruising it's not really there at 1500 RPM's. I have an automatic 2000 convertible. For reference. I could not be happier with this exhaust. It is not a very loud aggressive exhaust like I feared. It just gives my car the sound and tone it should have had to begin with. My kids helped me instal it in the drive way with simple hand tools a jack and jack stands and a reciprocating saw. My son and daughter love it. My daughter and I took it for a 4 hour ride with the top down and neither of us had a single complaint or negative to say about it. This review would not be compleat without mentioning the excellent service and personalized attention I received from Hottexhsust. I actually called and caught John after hours and he took the time to explain the difference systems even thought it was after closing. I told him I had gotten a price off their web site and it was better than anywhere else hands down. He said gove him a second. He would see what he could do. He came back with a price that was $60 cheaper than I had already gotten. I was just calling to hear an expert tell me the differences in the systems. He gave me such a good price I ran for the closest credit card and ordered immediately. This all now 45 minutes after they were closed. That's dedication and service and I saved over $300 from the next closest place. Hottexhausts deserves 10 stars for that kind of service.

Sound great! Louder then OEM but does not sound like I am trying to recapture my youth by installing a noisy exhaust on my car or trying to compete for the most annoying neighbor on my block. That goes to the idiot three houses down with the Harley anyway... Sounds great under WOT and has a deeper sound under general acceleration with out excessive drone. I recommend this to anyone trying to gain a little better sound and power without all the noise.

I absolutely love the sound of this system! It's Defiantly not to loud but has that sweet low 'raspyness' to it !! Perfect for my tastes! The guys at Hott Exhaust were awesome !! I was happy with the listed price of the system, then upon a little bit of their online question chat, the guy asked me if I had a coupon code. I said no.. He gave me a coupon code and BAM.. saved me nearly 300 Bucks off my entire order !! Now thats company decency at it's finest !!

Purchased this item on sale. Installed this system myself (have some knowledge and skill) and was fairly easy to complete in a few hours. The old system was removed by bolts and new system fit without any modifications. It did require the back end of the vehicle to be jacked up high and the sway bar had to be removed for enough clearance to remove the factory pipes without cutting them. Sounds great. Not too loud but not to quiet, just right. Tips look better than the originals and the chrome exhaust looked much better from behind. Would buy again excellent value for the cost.

The system sounds absolutely perfect...not too raspy, not too quite..but just enough bark to match the aura of my vette...Cruising down the PCH became fun again...and thank you Hottexhaust for the awesome service,and price..cant be beat!
